AI Will Collapse into Sandbox Intelligence
X user Wordgrammer stated that the internet is collapsing due to social and video content being 100% sandboxed, with consumers preferring to engage while intoxicated, in bed, in the bathroom, or when their brains are 99% occupied. He believes that the current discussions around AI are akin to the misjudgment of 1995 when it was thought that everyone would have a website, whereas not everyone will create personal software or mobile applications. Wordgrammer indicated that while everyone will use agents, less than 1% will use coding agents, similar to how everyone has a social profile but less than 1% have personal websites. Consumer-grade and enterprise agents must have a 0% failure rate with foolproof sandboxes that cannot accidentally make purchases, send messages, or leak information; better models are insufficient to achieve this and require a rethinking of abstraction.
