Altura's Bank Account Frozen, $21.88 Million Funds Blocked from Purchasing USDT
Altura announced that its fiat funds in the bank account are temporarily frozen due to a bank hold, preventing the planned purchase of USDT through over-the-counter trading partners. The frozen amount is approximately £16.446 million, or about $21.88 million. Altura has communicated with the bank, which has requested to wait for the review to be completed and will reach out if additional materials are needed. Altura stated that the situation is beyond its control and it must wait for further responses from the bank. Meanwhile, due to limited team resources, Altura has suspended community chat functions to focus on addressing the current issues and has committed to providing timely updates through its official X account, Telegram channel, and Discord, urging the community to avoid speculation until official confirmation is received.
