Ansem: Papertrade Could Reshape the High-Leverage Speculation Market
On October 19, crypto trader Ansem stated that Papertrade could become an innovative project with long-term development potential. The platform allows users to open and close synthetic positions with leverage up to 1000 times, without causing actual market impact. Its business model uses traders' losses to support the on-chain liquidity pool (LP), and losses exceeding a certain LP size limit are distributed to PAPER stakers. In its first week of operation, the amount allocated to PAPER stakers has already exceeded $50 million. Traditional perpetual contract DEXs primarily generate revenue through trading fees, while Papertrade attempts to convert traders' losses into a source of income. Theoretically, traders' losses are expected to cover the profits of winners in the long run. Once the LP reaches a certain size limit, even if the ratio of platform winners to losers is close to 50:50, this model still has unique advantages. Traders can share platform profits by staking platform tokens, rather than just paying fees. Furthermore, Papertrade's model may expand in the future to speculative games beyond perpetual contracts, including online entertainment and other areas. The platform has the potential to become the infrastructure for high-leverage speculation and gaming in the internet space, but whether it can continuously attract users, maintain liquidity, and achieve long-term development still needs to be validated by market performance.
