Apple Tests CXMT Memory Chips to Alleviate Shortage

Apple is testing memory chips from Changxin Memory Technologies (CXMT) in its iPhone and MacBook product lines to address the memory shortage caused by the surge in artificial intelligence demand. Apple has engaged in preliminary discussions with CXMT regarding component supply and plans to use these chips in some devices sold in China. CXMT is considering building a second memory chip factory in Beijing to increase production capacity. Meanwhile, HP and Acer have already incorporated CXMT chips into devices sold outside the U.S. to alleviate supply shortages.
