Arcadia₿ Launches Bitcoin Custody Service for 2027
Arcadia₿, a Mexican bitcoin treasury company, has launched a multi-institutional BTC custody service through its new brand CustoBia. This service will be available in January 2027 and is based on a partnership with AnchorWatch, which specializes in custody and insurance for bitcoin. Customers' BTC will be safeguarded in multi-signature vaults, with keys managed by independent institutions across various jurisdictions, including ArcadiaB in Mexico and AnchorWatch Trust Company in Nevada, USA. This multi-signature scheme requires the validation of multiple private keys to authorize transactions, preventing a single company or country from moving a customer's BTC. Additionally, eligible users will be able to purchase an insurance policy through AnchorWatch, backed by A+-rated syndicates from Lloyd's of London. Multi-institutional custody is considered one of the best practices for protecting significant bitcoin holdings, eliminating common single points of failure found in traditional custody. Arcadia₿, formerly known as KapitalEX, offers financial products focused on bitcoin for retail users and small businesses, including brokerage, secured loans, debit cards, and payment processing.
