Bitwise Report Shows 15 Institutions Did Not Reduce Holdings During 50% Crypto Market Drawdown
Bitwise has released a report titled "Institutional Adoption of Crypto Assets," based on interviews with investment professionals responsible for crypto asset allocation at 15 large institutions. The report indicates that during the period from Q4 2025 to Q2 2026, the overall crypto market experienced a drawdown of approximately 50%, yet none of the interviewed institutions reduced their crypto asset allocations, with some even increasing their holdings. All interviewed institutions holding crypto assets possess Bitcoin, which most view as a store of value and a hedge against fiat currency devaluation, alongside gold. The report also shows that the allocation of crypto assets among the interviewed institutions ranges from 0.5% to 13% of their investable assets, with the majority concentrated between 1% and 2%.
