Sales of Gasoline and Electric Cars in Ukraine in August
In August, Ukraine registered 12.8 thousand passenger cars with gasoline engines, which is 2% less than last year. The share of fully electric vehicles increased among new cars, imported used cars, and internal resales. Of the 12.8 thousand gasoline cars, 1.9 thousand were new, which is 14% less compared to August last year. 10.9 thousand cars were imported as used, and their number remained at last year's level. The most popular new gasoline cars were the Skoda Octavia (221 cars), Hyundai Tucson (173), Mazda CX-5 (120), Skoda Kodiaq (109), and Skoda Karoq (93). Among used cars, the leaders were the Volkswagen Tiguan (682 cars), Nissan Rogue (656), Volkswagen Golf (645), Audi Q5 (583), and Audi A4 (342). In August, there was also an increase in the share of electric vehicles across all three segments: internal resales, imports of used cars, and registrations of new vehicles. Diesel cars are losing ground, and the largest contribution to the replenishment of the electric vehicle fleet comes from imported used cars. Gasoline cars remain the leaders among new passenger cars, accounting for 39.1% of sales, hybrids made up 32.9%, diesel cars 17.5%, and electric vehicles 10.2%.
