Solana Begins Trading on XRPL DEX with Axelar Integration
Solana has been made accessible on the decentralized exchange (DEX) on the XRP Ledger. This development was announced by Hussein Zangana, the community director of the XRP Ledger Foundation. This version, wrapped and issued by Axelar, has enabled a direct bridge between Solana and the XRP Ledger. The XRPL DEX allows users to access Solana through XRP Ledger-based platforms. SOL transactions can be conducted via XPMarket, First Ledger, and Magnetic. Xaman Wallet users will also be able to access Solana directly through the exchange tool within their wallet. This step stands out as a new link in the trend of increasing cross-chain asset transfers that has gained momentum since 2025. Previously, XRP had also been moved to the Solana network. Wrapped XRP was made available on the Solana network in April, and XRP became accessible in Solana-based decentralized finance applications. Zangana warned users to be cautious of Wrapped SOL versions outside of Axelar with the opening of Solana on the XRPL DEX. He stated that users should not make transactions based solely on the token name or short code. Platforms offering Wrapped SOL support use a verification mark to facilitate the identification of the token. Users are advised to verify the issuer's address before transactions and compare it with trusted sources.
