Tether Blocks 33 Addresses on the Tron Network with $27 Million USDT
On October 28, Tether blocked 33 addresses on the Tron network that collectively held approximately $27 million USDT. The largest wallet among these addresses had a balance of about $7.8 million. Tether has blocked these addresses as part of a coordinated series of actions, but has not provided an explanation for the reason behind the blocking of these wallets. Blocking means that the assets in the targeted addresses will no longer be transferable. The released information does not specify who controls these wallets or why Tether decided to block them. This action comes after Tether had previously blocked around $2.21 million USDT related to a suspicious withdrawal of $15.99 million from wallets associated with the Indian exchange CoinDCX.
