U.S. Employment Data to be Released on September 4, Impact of Hawkish Remarks from Chair Powell
On September 4, the U.S. employment data will be released. The U.S. Department of Labor is set to announce the previous month's Non-Farm Payroll (NFP) at 9:30 PM KST on the 7th. The NFP is a key employment indicator that shows the overall employment changes excluding the agricultural sector. This NFP announcement comes after hawkish remarks from Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh, amid growing concerns over interest rate hikes. If the NFP exceeds expert expectations, it may be interpreted as a signal that the U.S. labor market is stable, which could increase pressure for interest rate hikes and potentially lead to a decline in the prices of risk assets such as BTC. Conversely, if the NFP falls short of expectations, it would indicate instability in the labor market, reducing the pressure for interest rate hikes and increasing the likelihood of rising prices for risk assets. However, if the NFP significantly underperforms expectations, concerns over a recession could lead to a sharp decline in the prices of risk assets. Additionally, the unemployment rate data will be released at the same time as the NFP.
