XRP Ledger Foundation Adds Flare to Validator List
The XRP Ledger Foundation has added Flare Networks to its list of proposed validators. This step strengthens Flare's position within the XRP Ledger ecosystem. In a statement made on October 28, it was emphasized that Flare acts in alignment with the values of the network and actively participates in governance processes. Flare thanked the Foundation for this decision and the parties that evaluated the application process. Flare had launched FXRP on its mainnet in September 2025. FXRP allows XRP holders to access decentralized finance applications through the Flare infrastructure. The XRP Ledger does not use a proof-of-work mining model; instead, it employs its own consensus mechanism to determine the validity of transactions. Validators reach consensus on the new version of the ledger by providing independent opinions on transactions. Inclusion in the proposed list indicates that the validator is trustworthy. The current list includes organizations such as Ripple, XRPL Labs, and Bithomp, as well as academic institutions like the University of Kansas and the Australian National University.
