A Practical Guide to FOMO: How to Find People and Coins in Social Trading?
Author: Biteye
It's booming, really booming.
It's clear: it used to be mainly Meme players using it, but recently I've seen quite a few in the secondary market. Today, @seyong mentioned that FOMO is averaging 30 new users every minute.
I can feel that big players are starting to enter the market as well.
However, many people are unsure how to navigate the plethora of English pages after registering. So, this article is straightforward, providing a practical tutorial on FOMO: teaching you how to find people, how to view coins, and how to use several tabs. 👇
1. The Global information feed is quite cluttered by default, so it's recommended to adjust the Filters first.

Currently, I only keep 4 categories:
✅ Trades: Trading dynamics
✅ Theses: Trading opinions / Investment logic
✅ Multi-user trades: Trades involving multiple participants
✅ New traders: Newly emerged traders
I've turned off others like Closed positions, New listings, Price spikes, and Profit milestones.
For me, "what others are buying" is more important than "when to sell"; mixing buy and sell signals can easily interfere with judgment. I also don’t look at price fluctuations, as buying on the horizontal is better than buying on the vertical; seeing it already pumped up doesn’t hold much significance.
2. Treat Clans as "Foreign Conspiracy Group Trackers"
{#docs-internal-guid-44d3d8d8-7fff-e386-2591-3ca1438e3e86}
Clans are a new team feature in FOMO, where a group of traders forms a Clan, ranked by the team's overall PnL.
I don’t follow the leaderboard directly; instead, I use it to find collective consensus: first look at 7D / 30D, then enter a Clan to select 1-2 stable core members who frequently have theses. Especially if a coin hasn’t risen much yet, but 2-3 core members are buying in succession, this signal is worth paying attention to.
Additionally, note two points:
First, don’t just look at the Clan’s PnL ranking.
Some teams might only be propped up by one or two large positions, or even a single windfall; it’s best to check the members' last 20 trades to confirm if they are consistently profitable.
Second, don’t chase just because you see a notification.
FOMO signals will have a delay before reaching you; first compare their entry price with the current price. If it has already risen by 10%-20%, it’s basically not the same trade anymore.
3. How to find worthwhile coins among the five Tabs?
I think these five Tabs are the most useful features, but many people actually don’t understand when to look at each of them.
Crypto, Trending, Most Held, Graduated, Gainers essentially correspond to five different market states.
-Crypto: Look at mainstream coins like SOL, ETH.
-Trending: Look at the narrative of the day. Which coins suddenly start being traded in large volumes can basically show what the market is speculating on today, suitable for finding daily hotspots.
-Most Held: Look at holding consensus, suitable for judging which coins people are willing to hold after buying.
-Graduated: Look for new opportunities. Specifically for coins that have just graduated from the internal market and entered public trading, this is an earlier radar than Trending.
-Gainers: Look at the gainers list, suitable for confirming strength.
My usual order of use is: Graduated to find new coins → Trending to check popularity → Most Held to see if anyone is willing to hold → Gainers to check if it has already risen too much.
🌟 In Conclusion
After using it, I feel that the biggest advantage of Social Trading is not "copy trading", but rather reducing the cost of finding Alpha: previously, you had to find coins first and then research who was buying; now you can find reliable people first and then see what they are buying.
But don’t treat it as a homework-copying tool. Signals have delays, PnL may be distorted, and small coins have slippage and liquidity risks.
Therefore, FOMO is more suitable as an "Alpha radar"; ultimately, whether to buy or not still requires your own judgment.
