The Empowa DeFi platform has detected unauthorized transfers from three addresses controlled by the project. From the treasury address on the Cardano network, 143,710 ADA and 48,219 NIGHT tokens were withdrawn between November 2025 and June 2026. Suspicious activities began on November 26, 2025. Most of the stolen ADA passed through an intermediary address, after which 100,000 ADA were deposited into the Liqwid lending protocol. The second incident involved addresses holding undistributed EMP, from which 4,240,000 EMP were transferred from June to August. Approximately 850,000 EMP were sold for ADA on Minswap and VyFi. Empowa denies any connection to the attack on SecondFi, as the suspicious activity began prior to that attack. An investigation is ongoing with the involvement of blockchain analytics specialists. Empowa is tracking the wallets associated with the withdrawals and intends to request client data through official legal procedures. Security is becoming critically important for the project, which is related to affordable housing and mortgage mechanisms in Africa.
