Hyperliquid Removes 49.87 Million HYPE Tokens from Circulation
Decentralized trading platform Hyperliquid has permanently removed 49.87 million HYPE tokens from circulation. This amount corresponds to approximately 5% of the maximum supply of 1 billion tokens. The total value of the burned assets has reached $3.89 billion at current prices. The reduction in supply occurs automatically as the protocol uses the fee revenue it generates to buy back HYPE from the open market. Total revenue has exceeded $1.38 billion. 85% of the network's validators approved the burning of the balance in this fund in December 2025. In the last 24 hours, the system removed 19,700 HYPE tokens from circulation, resulting in a market cap of approximately $1.59 million. The protocol's daily fee revenue was recorded at $1.69 million. However, the net supply outlook for HYPE is not limited to burns; approximately 9.9 million HYPE tokens enter circulation each month. If the daily pace of 19,700 tokens is maintained, the monthly buyback amount will remain around 591,000 HYPE.
