Samsung Wallet to Launch USDC Transfers for US Galaxy Users in October
Samsung Wallet will begin rolling out a USDC remittance feature for eligible US Galaxy users in the final week of October 2026. This feature will enable cross-border USDC transfers on 82 million US Galaxy devices. Users will experience a familiar wallet interface, with fiat on- and off-ramps for currency conversion. Solana will provide the blockchain infrastructure, simplifying the process for users by eliminating the need to understand network fees or token addresses. The rollout's success will depend on completion rates, fees, payout speed, and the resolution of failed transfers. While this development supports the narrative of real-world application for Solana, it does not guarantee an increase in token demand. The effectiveness of the payments product will be measured by repeat transfers and customer satisfaction.
