San Francisco's ChatTJB Chatbot Manually Replies to All Questions by Its Founder
On August 10, a new chatbot named ChatTJB was launched in San Francisco, which is actually manually responding to user inquiries by its founder, Tucker Bryant. The project is described as "handcrafted intelligence," defined as "a large language experience operated by a single person." Bryant stated that the project aims to satirize users' over-reliance on AI chat tools, emphasizing that people should reconsider the fact that fluent and seemingly confident answers are not necessarily correct. ChatTJB intentionally lowers efficiency to allow users to experience the process of waiting and thinking. Additionally, ChatTJB responds to users' image generation requests with hand-drawn pictures. The official website clearly states that this is a satirical public art project, not a genuine AI product.
