S&P Dow Jones Indices and Kaiko Launch S&P Kaiko Digital Asset Indices
S&P Dow Jones Indices and Kaiko announced the integration of digital asset index products on September 1, 2026, launching the co-branded series S&P Kaiko Digital Asset Indices. Kaiko's digital asset reference rates and multi-asset indices, along with S&P DJI's existing cryptocurrency indices, will be unified under the name S&P Kaiko. This series is driven by Kaiko's crypto-native data infrastructure and market expertise, while S&P DJI is responsible for global licensing, distribution, and benchmark management. At launch, the series will cover over 4,000 rates and indices across digital asset categories. Existing financial products based on Kaiko reference rates and multi-asset indices will adopt the new S&P Kaiko branding. Kaiko Indices, S.A. will retain its existing brand and BMR registration. Cameron Drinkwater, Chief Product and Operations Officer at S&P Dow Jones Indices, stated that this integration will enhance the transparency, rigor, and market relevance of digital asset benchmarks. Ambre Soubiran, CEO of Kaiko, noted that this move provides institutions with credibility, distribution channels, and data accuracy.
