Ukrainians' Bank Deposits Reached 1.75 Trillion UAH
As of July 1, 2026, the amount of individual deposits in Ukrainian banks reached 1.75 trillion UAH, increasing by 48.6 billion UAH in June and by 131.5 billion UAH since the beginning of the year. The majority of deposits are held in hryvnias — 1.16 trillion UAH, which is 39.5 billion UAH more compared to the previous month. Deposits in foreign currency amounted to 592.4 billion UAH, increasing by 9.2 billion UAH. The share of individual entrepreneurs in the structure of depositors as of July 1 was 3.2%, while in the total amount of deposits it was 11.7%, corresponding to 204.1 billion UAH. 57.29% of depositors have amounts ranging from 10,000 to 200,000 UAH in their accounts, accounting for 26.18% of the total amount of deposits. 0.03% of depositors have more than 5 million UAH, which constitutes 16.51% of the total amount. As of July 1, 71.29% of funds are held by Ukrainians in demand accounts, while 28.71% are in term deposits. Under martial law, there are 100% guarantees on individual deposits, after which the maximum compensation amount will be 600,000 UAH. In July 2026, funds in deposit and savings accounts reached 1.68 trillion UAH, which is 40 billion UAH more than in June.
