In the Ripple (XRP) ledger, a total of 2,713 transactions were processed in approximately 3.8 seconds on a single ledger. Hussein Zanganeh, the community director of the XRP Ledger Foundation, shared information about ledger number 106,943,716 in a post on X. The post also included the phrase '2,768 transactions in one ledger', but it remains to be confirmed whether the 2,713 transactions represent the previous record or if the 2,768 transactions are the updated figure. The verified ledger of the XRP Ledger is one that has been finalized by network validators who have reached consensus on the set of transactions and their results, with the outcomes of validated transactions considered final. The processing time for this ledger falls within the official introduction range of 3 to 5 seconds. However, the number of transactions included in a single ledger and the transactions per second are different metrics, with the 2,713 and 2,768 figures representing the scale of transactions contained in the ledger. U.Today reported that most of the transactions were small transactions of 1 drop each, transferred among 20 accounts. Zanganeh noted that further verification is needed to determine whether this activity indicates an actual increase in usage, bot activity, or a network load testing experiment. This case demonstrates that a large number of transactions can be included within a short ledger cycle, but one cannot definitively conclude that the record figures will lead to an increase in XRP prices or network usage. Market reactions or independent verification announcements regarding the 2,713 or 2,768 transactions have not been confirmed.
