zkLink Nova Contract Under Attack, Offering 20% White Hat Bounty
zkLink has confirmed that its Layer 3 network zkLink Nova's Arbitrator contract on Ethereum and Optimism is under sustained attack. The technical team is urgently controlling the situation to prevent further losses and will update the community on progress. zkLink urges relevant parties to cease further exploitation of zkLink Nova's contracts across chains and to return the affected funds. The project team stated that if the parties cooperate in returning the funds, a 20% white hat bounty will be offered, and no further action will be taken after the funds are returned. Security agency Blockaid has detected that the attackers injected a forged batch root into Ethereum via a public relay, subsequently extracting ETH and ERC-20 from zkLink Nova's L1 custody contract, resulting in a loss of approximately $786,000, with the attack still ongoing.
