Audio AI Company Noiz Completes Tens of Millions in Seed Round Financing
Audio AI company Noiz has completed tens of millions in seed round financing, with the latest investor being Jinsha River Venture Capital. Noiz plans to enable AI to understand the physical world behind sounds, rather than continuing to focus on music generation, speech recognition, or TTS. The company hopes that its model can identify the source of sounds and their physical characteristics, such as the material of a door slam, the force, the propagation distance, and how room structure affects sound. Noiz is collecting data that includes spatial, material, distance, and directional information, with the ultimate goal of building a "sound version of a world model." This model will infer the sounds that should be heard based on the current environment and events, thereby promoting the application of audio models in real-time gaming, virtual worlds, and robotics, enabling machines to understand what is happening around them through sound.
