Chainlink Goes Live on Stellar Network: Data for Over $4 Billion in Real-World Assets
Chainlink has been operational on the Stellar network since October 14, 2026: Data Feeds and Data Streams bring market data to an ecosystem supporting over $4 billion in real-world assets.
Key Points
- Chainlink's two data services have been active on Stellar since October 14, 2026.
- The ecosystem of real-world assets on Stellar exceeds $4 billion.
- Early applications use oracle data for collateral, settlements, and loan calculations.
- Stellar's commitment to the Scale program aims to make access more affordable for developers.
With these services, developers can build lending markets, prediction markets, and perpetual futures. The goal is to connect tokenized assets to a broader range of decentralized finance applications.
The Stellar Development Foundation stated in a blog post that the integration removes a significant barrier to launching DeFi applications: access to reliable market data. For the foundation, this is a step beyond merely issuing on-chain assets, towards the ability to evaluate, trade, and use them as collateral for loans.
Chainlink Brings New DeFi Functions to the Stellar Network
Data Feeds and Data Streams are now natively available on Stellar, providing developers with the market information necessary to build secure on-chain financial applications. These include lending markets, prediction markets, and perpetual futures.
Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer of Chainlink Labs, views the integration as support for a wider range of financial products.
Eid added that the services provide the reliable data developers need to build and grow lending markets, stablecoins, and tokenized assets. The foundation's post describes Chainlink's oracle infrastructure as the same that secures most of DeFi, enabling on-chain transactions worth tens of trillions of dollars.
Stellar's Real-World Assets Come into Play
Stellar already supports over $4 billion in real-world assets, and Chainlink's data helps transform them into tradable instruments and collateral. The post mentions stablecoins and tokenized stocks among the assets gaining greater utility through DeFi applications.
The distinction is clear: creating an on-chain asset is one thing, making it usable in financial markets is another. According to the foundation's account, these assets need pricing, trading, and lending functions, in addition to the ability to serve as collateral.
Raja Chakravorti, Chief Business Officer of the foundation, stated that on-chain markets at an institutional scale require reliable infrastructure for pricing, execution, and movement. He pointed to Chainlink's data and connectivity as the foundation for applications that put issued assets to work.
Stellar offers smart contract capabilities and a payment-optimized protocol. Its design aims to keep fees low while increasing transaction speeds alongside adoption.

The Scale Commitment and Early Applications at Launch
The debut comes after Stellar's decision to enter the Chainlink Scale program with a significant capital commitment. The aim is to provide developers with affordable access to enterprise-level oracle infrastructure.
Some of the leading applications in the ecosystem have adopted Chainlink since launch to support lending and collateral operations. At launch, the infrastructure serves for loan-to-value calculations, collateral management, automatic liquidations, and reference rates for stablecoins.
