Mochatrade Completes $5.56 Million Financing to Offer U.S. Stock Contracts to Indian Users
Mochatrade has completed a total financing of $5.56 million, aimed at providing Indian users with perpetual contracts linked to U.S. stock prices. This round of financing was led by CoinFund, with participation from Coinbase Ventures and Zero Knowledge Ventures' general partner Nicky Montana. Y Combinator and Pioneer Fund supported a $690,000 pre-seed round, with Y Combinator investing $500,000 earlier this month in the form of USDC on Base. Mochatrade allows Indian users to top up via UPI and trade leveraged contracts linked to companies like Nvidia, Tesla, and Apple, without the need to hold stocks or open a U.S. brokerage account. The platform is currently in the testing phase and is expected to launch publicly in the coming weeks. The funds will be used for trading technology and customer growth, with plans to add U.S. stock options, more assets, and social trading features.
