Nova Poshta Transforms Branches into Local Warehouses Due to Russian Attacks
Nova Poshta has announced a transition to a new model of goods storage, turning cargo and postal branches across Ukraine into local warehouses. This decision was made following attacks on large depots and logistics centers to reduce dependence on large-scale facilities and enhance delivery resilience against potential strikes. The company's CEO, Yevhen Tafiichuk, reported on the decentralization of operations after attacks on sorting centers in the Kyiv region and Sumy. He noted that the company lost a modern robotic fleet, and thousands of books from publishers were also destroyed. Nova Poshta promises to compensate for the damages. To enhance the resilience of goods storage, the company will distribute customer goods among various branches instead of storing them in a single center. This is expected to allow businesses to continue operating even amid new strikes. Currently, Nova Poshta is negotiating with publishers and stores whose books were destroyed to determine mechanisms for support and recovery of the lost items.
