Innovation Week 2026: AI to be Discussed in 41 Activities
Innovation Week 2026 confirms Artificial Intelligence (AI) as one of the major drivers of transformation in the public sector as well.
With a robust program, the event features 41 activities dedicated to the theme, ranging from productivity tools to some of the deepest ethical and social dilemmas currently debated about technology.
The diversity of formats --- lectures, round tables, and immersive experiences --- shares a common goal: to prepare public servants and managers for a future where technology operates ethically and is citizen-centered.
The 12th edition of the SI will take place from November 10 to 12, 2026, with registrations open on the official website. A total of 242 activities were selected, including round tables, debates, workshops, and lectures.
Among the highlights of the program, the experience "Legal Black Mirror: Immersion in Extreme AI Scenarios" promises to be an impactful experience.
Led by Stephanie Almeida de Jesus Dias and Auston Ricardo Soares Costa from the Regional Labor Court of the 6th Region, the activity uses speculative design and sensory immersion to transport participants to "courts of the future."
Through storytelling, the audience will experience the extreme consequences of algorithmic decisions --- an exercise in empathy and collective intelligence regarding the risks and opportunities of AI in the Judiciary.
In the virtual environment, social innovation finds its voice in the round table "Iris Collar: Intelligent Listening System and Child and Youth Protection," led by Ana Julia Nascimento Leite Paredes from the Federal University of Mato Grosso.
The activity demonstrates how AI can be applied in prevention and care within public care networks, through an interdisciplinary conversation circle that discusses the integration of intelligent technologies into the protection of children and adolescents.
For those seeking practical and immediate applications, the online lecture "Generative AI in Practice: Humans in Command" serves as an essential guide.
Adriano Neris Alves presents prompt engineering techniques aimed at the public sector's routine, always reinforcing human protagonism as a guarantee of ethics and risk mitigation.
The session also includes real demonstrations of how AI can enhance efficiency without compromising institutional security.
Accessibility is also guaranteed, with the in-person round table "AI Tools for Plain Language."
Experts Lígia de Oliveira, Carolina Lopes, and Olívia Forat, moderated by Grécia Mara, present practical cases "Revisa, Sô!", "Revisora LiS", and "Simplifica AI" --- examples of how state and municipal governments are already using AI to review public texts and make official information clearer and more accessible to the entire population.
