Weekly Net Purchases by Listed Companies Decrease by 48% as Strategy Holds No Bitcoin
Odaily Planet Daily reports that as of 8 AM Eastern Time on September 8, 2026, the total net purchase of Bitcoin by global listed companies (excluding mining companies) for the week was $267 million, a decrease of 48% compared to the previous week. No Bitcoin was purchased last week. Japanese listed companies also did not purchase Bitcoin last week, marking eight consecutive weeks without purchases.
Additionally, eight other companies announced their Bitcoin purchases or holdings last week. A Japanese energy investment company announced that as of September 4, 2026, it held a total of 1,506.23390097 Bitcoins, with a total expenditure of $1.1184 million, an increase of 2.48356398 Bitcoins compared to the previous week without purchases; an entertainment technology company announced that from June 24, 2026, to September 4, 2026, it invested $14.3 million to acquire 205 Bitcoins at a price of $69,756.097561, bringing its total holdings to 4,316; a UK Bitcoin company announced on September 2 that it invested $2.72 million to purchase 35 Bitcoins at a price of $77,708, increasing its total holdings to 2,747; a Bitcoin asset company announced on September 4 that it held approximately 737.71 Bitcoins but did not disclose the specific total purchase amount or average cost of Bitcoin; a UK Bitcoin asset company announced on September 3 that it spent approximately $77,772.17 last week to purchase 1 Bitcoin, bringing its total holdings to approximately 167.487; an Ethereum asset company announced after 8 AM Eastern Time on August 31 that it purchased 1 Bitcoin without disclosing the specific purchase amount, increasing its total holdings to 211; a French Bitcoin company announced on September 7 that it purchased 376 Bitcoins at a price of $67,182, bringing its total holdings to 3,521; and an asset management company announced on September 8 that it spent approximately $109 million last week to purchase 1,375 Bitcoins at a price of $79,281, bringing its total holdings to approximately 24,531.
In terms of financing, it announced that it has raised €7.6 million (approximately $8.83 million) from investors and institutions including Adam Back for the purpose of purchasing Bitcoin. It confirmed that it has completed ATM 2 (the second phase of the market price issuance plan), having sold 600,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 8.06 pence per share, raising a total of £48,275 ($65,253.32) for the purchase of Bitcoin, and is set to initiate ATM 3 (the third phase of the market price issuance plan).
As of the time of publication, the total amount of Bitcoin held by the listed companies worldwide (excluding mining companies) is 1,119,973, a decrease of 2.38% compared to the previous week, with a current market value of approximately $87.77 billion, accounting for 5.6% of Bitcoin's circulating market value.
