One Thousand Female Soldiers to Receive Female Combat Gear Kit
The Ministry of Defense and the organization 'Zemlyachki' have signed a memorandum of cooperation to improve women's military uniforms and test the Female Combat Gear Kit. As part of a pilot study, 1,000 soldiers in combat positions will receive the new kit, which includes: two pairs of boots (winter and transitional), a 5-in-1 transitional uniform, a winter set (jacket, insulated pants), thermal underwear, t-shirts, socks, a helmet, a bulletproof vest with lightweight plates, an individual medical kit, a tactical backpack, active headphones, a poncho raincoat, a sleeping bag, a sleeping mat, and tactical gloves. Over the course of 12 months, the lifespan of the items and the need for replacement will be monitored. Similar models are already in use in the armies of the USA and the UK. Following the pilot, the Ministry of Defense will consider the possibility of incorporating the updated kit into official standards.
