Tom Lee Recommends Buying AI and Digital Assets at Low Prices Amid Tech Stock Decline
Tom Lee, head of research at Fundstrat Global Advisors, has recommended buying AI-related stocks and digital assets at low prices as selling pressure spreads across tech and semiconductor stocks. He analyzed the recent decline as an adjustment due to excessive pessimism and emphasized the need to pay attention to the potential for a rebound as tech stocks approach key support levels. The S&P 500 index has fallen about 6% over the past month, which is interpreted as a dampening of investor sentiment due to concerns over the expansion of AI investments and high stock price levels. Tom Lee assessed that the extent of the decline is not excessive when considering the preceding upward trend. Additionally, he pointed out that the net buying position of hedge funds in stocks has dropped to its lowest level since April of last year, which could be a factor for a rebound. He advised maintaining diversified investments to reduce the risk of concentrating investments in specific sectors. Tom Lee maintains a long-term growth outlook for the AI industry and predicts that the peak of the AI bubble could be delayed until 2033. He suggested AI, semiconductor, and software companies as buying targets, and analyzed that digital assets could form an attractive entry point for medium- to long-term investors.
